Terms of Use
These terms are for the Diomap app (iOS and Android) and the website at diomap.com. The product was also called Local Guide and Magnus Guide. Same app.
I built this. I am not a large company. This page is meant to be true, not impressive.
The service
Diomap shows places on a map, writes audio stories about them, and lets you collect items, make friends, and trade. Stories are written with help from AI (Google Gemini) from public sources. They can be wrong. Treat them as a guide, not a legal or historical record.
You need an internet connection and a signed-in account (Google or Apple). Location permission is needed for the map.
Your account
You are responsible for the display name you choose. Do not impersonate someone else. We can close an account that is used to abuse other people or break these terms.
You can delete your account in Settings. Deleting the account removes your progress. Places and stories stay on the map. It does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription.
Subscriptions and purchases
Optional in-app purchases include gem packs, backpack upgrades, and Unlimited stamina (auto-renewing monthly or yearly). Purchases go through Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to keep those purchases in sync with your Diomap account.
Unlimited stamina renews automatically until you cancel. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in App Store or Google Play account settings after purchase. Deleting your Diomap account does not automatically stop billing.
Prices are shown in the app in your store’s currency. Refunds follow Apple or Google rules, not ours.
Public notes
Public map notes are emoji only. Journal notes are private. Do not use the app to harass people.
